SEWING KIT IN A JAR !

Kids love their stuffies, there are never enough.

Now they can make one themselves and keep forever, at the same time they will learn a very useful skill,Sewing !

The Season has started and the kids are loving to get their hands on sewing again.One of the most fascinating things is to see their faces when they finish the project as well as how focused they can be when they are doing something they love.

Design your own stuff animal.

This week on the after school program , the kids designed their own stuff animal.

They choose the fabric and shape they wanted , and did the whole process by themselves.

I couldn't be more proud.

From marking the fabric to cutting, sewing , stuffing it and finally adding buttons, color etc.

Congratulations kids , amazing job!

Playland festival in the Richmond,SF.

Last weekend it was a great time for little sewing hands.

We had a table at the fun festival of Playland on Balboa st.

The projects were a huge success, we made keychain stuffies, some of the kids were very creative and design their own piece.

What a fun experience !

Sewing Birthday party

Last weekend we had the pleasure to teach a group of girls how to sew a handbag.
Francesca was celebrating her 9th birthday and wanted to have all her friends over for a sewing experience.
It was a huge success, we got them fun fabrics as well as very special buttons, letters and ribbons.
The party went on for around 2 hours.They all came up with their different ideas and designs.

I feel very lucky to have Mira in my team, she has been helping me in all the classes,as well as on the bday party. Thank you for being there with me and manage the girls as well as attend their questions.

Can't wait for our next adventure!

In our first class we introduced the children to basic shapes and the basics of sewing with an embroidery stitch.  They loved finding out how easy it is to draw a shape with thread!

At our last private event we made a fun Tooth Fairy pillow.  The kids had a great time and were very excited to add their own styles to the original design.

The girls and boys love calling me Ms. Celina, or Nico's mom!  Since they are learning how to read, I taught them how they can embroider their own names, frame their project and hang it on a wall for everyone to see!  Huge success!!!

In our Halloween class, the kids made a fun pumpkin stuffie.  Without even realizing it, they learned something they will never forget---how to sew on a button!!!  Introducing these basic skills in a fun way, like sewing a button eye on a stuffie, makes learning simple and enjoyable!

Little sewing hands is a sewing class for kids , where they will learn the basics of hand sewing, work on fine motor skills and create unique pieces of art.
